Martha Elizabeth Gunn (Mulinix), Class of '67

About-Baker: The first couple of years were just spent as a student, studying hard, working and reading in the library. My senior year found me active in a variety of clubs and other extra-curricular activities. Being on the Drill Team and going to the Gator Bowl were highlights. I still find myself walking in tempo when I hear marches. Having been in the play the "King and I" that year is also a happy memory. Being the daughter of Jesse Gunn, a teacher at Eddy Jr. High, made life interesting, particularly when riding the bus home with middle school students who were not happy with the grade received on the 10 essay question test.

After-Baker: Upon graduation from Baker, I attended Berry College, graduating in 1971 with a dream of doing cancer research. Alas that dream did not materialize. Wedding plans and a tight job market shifted me into library work in a law firm, eventually getting a Masters in Library Media. After 30 years, I still work in law firms, having worked as librarian, records manager, and office manager. Presently I am the Records and Client Information Manager for Alston & Bird, a 700-attorney Atlanta based law firm. My husband Victor and I celebrated our 32th wedding anniversary this year. We raised one son, who is currently a Navy pilot, based in Rota, Spain, flying EP3s. For those that were a students of Jesse Gunn, he passed away in 1994 at the age of 86, still smiling and still expecting the best from anyone he came in contact.
